THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH STRENGTHENS MEASURES FOR STATE CONTROL OVER PRODUCT SAFETY

According to the results of the control purchase and the sanitary and epidemiological examination of 5,000 product samples, the Sanitary and Epidemiological Control Committee of the Ministry of Health found that 35% of the tested products do not comply with the Unified Sanitary Requirements and the requirements of the technical regulations of the EAEU.
As a result of the examination for the safety of products distributed on the territory of the republic, 439 rapid response measures were taken, more than 2 tons of products representing a potential threat to public health were withdrawn from sale.
As part of cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, enhanced laboratory control has been introduced for 34 manufacturers of imported products.
Also, in cooperation with the authorized body for technical regulation in 2023-2024, 200 declarations of conformity of dairy products, poultry meat and perfumery and cosmetic products were suspended and canceled.
Sanitary and epidemiological examination, which reveals the level of toxicity, the content of harmful substances, microbiological and other characteristics, is carried out in 84 accredited laboratories of the National Center for Expertise at the regional and district levels.
The Ministry of Health continues to work within the framework of legislation aimed at protecting public health and is taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety of products on the market.
