On November 19, 2024, a solemn opening ceremony of the scientific and Cultural center named after Abai was held in Semey on the basis of the State Historical, Cultural and Literary Memorial Museum-Reserve of Abai "Zhidebai-Borili" on the initiative of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai.
In honor of the opening of the center, a congratulatory letter from the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva was presented.
The event was attended by representatives of the ICI, public and government figures, scientists and journalists.
The purpose of the opening of the scientific and cultural center is to popularize the heritage of Abai among young people, expand cooperation between Abai University, the state museum-reserve of Abai "Zhidebai–Borili" and strengthen the museum's ties with the centers of Abai studies abroad.
