A coordination meeting was held in the assembly hall of the Turkestan Region Police Department to discuss issues related to drug trafficking. It was attended by Akim of Turkestan region Darkhan Satybaldy, head of the Police Department Murat Kabdenov, regional Prosecutor Murat Tleuberdiev, head of the Department of the National Security Committee for Turkestan region Bolat Kalmurzaev, head of the National Security Committee Murat Toleubaev and other heads of competent authorities.
During the meeting, issues of drug control and prevention were discussed. The crimes and the work done on the illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances were discussed. Reports were read out by the heads of the bodies, and ways to promote the work were announced.
The Prosecutor's office provided relevant comments and recommendations on strengthening the fight against drugs. Deputy head of the regional DP Kurmanbek Sakhov noted that as a result of the work of the police since the beginning of the year, more than 650 facts of drug trafficking have been registered, more than 330 kg of drugs have been seized and preventive measures have been carried out with the participation of about 48,000 schoolchildren and students in order to prevent drug crimes.
In general, during the monitoring of social networks, the police of the Turkestan region suspended the activities of 34 online stores identified on the telegram channel. And 104 websites have been blocked through the cyber defense program.
At the meeting, Deputy Akim of the Turkestan region Beysenbai Tazhibayev reported to the akimat on the ideological and explanatory work on limiting and preventing the spread of drugs, events held in the region. He said that meetings and events of various formats are held among young people, and constant anti-drug information work is underway. The leadership of the regional departments of health and education provided relevant information and considered proposals.
During the meeting, the members of the Coordinating Council agreed to strengthen work on drug addiction prevention, educational work and lectures among young people and students.
