The Kyzylorda region is experiencing a positive change in macroeconomic development indicators. This was reported by the region's akim Nurlybek Nalibayev at a visiting briefing of the Central Communications Service in Kyzylorda.
The head of the region reported on the work done and upcoming projects.
"Today, thanks to the special support of the President and the Government, the region's budget has exceeded KZT 744 billion. Two years ago, it was KZT 364 billion. The growth was 204.4%. 55.4% of our budget is directed to the social sphere. The region's development budget has increased by 3.6 times over the past 2 years.
517 billion and 500 million tenge are planned for investments this year. We raised 478 billion and 300 million in 10 months. 74% of these are private investments," the regional akim said.
The cost over the past two years amounted to KZT 19.6 billion. 22 investment projects were launched. This year, 13 projects are planned in the manufacturing industry worth KZT 10.7 billion. To date, nine projects have been put into operation. Geological studies in the Eastern and Western sections of the sedimentary basin of the island will be completed by the end of this year. This year studies of the Syrdarya Basin began.
Furthermore, on the initiative National Company “KazMunaiGas”, the drilling of a well with a depth of 5.5 kilometers has commenced at the Torgay Paleozoic field. The South Oil Company is preparing to commence the design process for the unconventional production of shale oil and commence operations in the upcoming year.
Efforts are underway to diversify the economy through industrial development. Industrial production, which had been on a downward trend due to oil depletion over the past decade, has begun to exhibit positive dynamics since September.
The regional governor has halted at the glass factory.
The glass factory, launched in 2022, produces stable products, 70% of which are exported to the domestic market, 30% to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Georgia and Russia. Since the launch of the plant, 28 million 700 thousand square meters of glass have been produced for KZT 37 billion 100 million. The glass factory will be producing 5 million square meters of energy-saving glass annually as a project launched by a foreign investor for US$15 million. In the industrial zone «Ondiris» started to create adjacent enterprises around glass plant. In particular, the value of Aina Glass partnership is KZT 1 billion 500 million, and construction began on a project to produce mirrors with annual capacity of 720 thousand square meters. In addition, "Horn glass" with German technology costs KZT 220 million per year for projects on the production of bottles and expansion of tempered glass production (double-glazed windows) with annual capacity of 22,600 square meters, the corresponding land plot was allocated, design work began, said N. Nalibayev.
In the metallurgical industry, development of lead-zinc and vanadium mines Shalkiya and Balasauskandyk continues. By 2030, the country plans to increase share of renewable energy sources in energy balance from current 4.5% to 15%. There are 9 solar power plants operating in the region with capacity of 89 MW. Three of them are large stations built with participation of foreign investors.
This year 3,761 entrepreneurship projects financed from all sources amounted to KZT 63.523 billion. As a result, share of entrepreneurship in economy this year will reach 21%.
