Akim of Shymkent Gabit Syzdykbekov noted during an off-site reporting meeting at the Central Communications Service site that the growth of economic indicators directly affects the quality of life of the population. As you know, Shymkent is one of the regions with low wages. At the same time, systematic measures are being taken to increase wages.
"We have increased the salary of about 15 thousand civil servants by 50 thousand tenge. We have allocated 10 billion tenge from the local budget for these purposes. As a result, the minimum wage in institutions funded from the local budget exceeded 140,000 tenge. Currently, the average salary in the city has increased by 12.5% and reached 304 thousand tenge," G.Syzdykbekov said.
The head of the megalopolis also said that systematic work is underway to create jobs and ensure the stability of incomes of the population. The number of actively working citizens in the city exceeded 468 thousand. In order to reduce the unemployment rate, more than 45 thousand people have been covered by employment measures this year, about 32 thousand people have been employed for permanent work. As a result of employment measures and government support, the number of recipients of targeted social assistance decreased by 30 percent, and compared to last year, the unemployment rate fell to 4.8%.
