The International scientific and practical conference "V Issyk Readings" was held at the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Esik". Conference dedicated to the theme "Steppe civilization of Eurasia: actual problems of studying, preserving and using historical and cultural heritage monuments", was timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the birth of Kemal Akishev, the founder of the Kazakh archaeological school and an outstanding archaeologist.
During the conference, the most important issues related to the archaeological sites of Kazakhstan were discussed: methods of their research and protection, the results of field surveys, as well as current areas of interdisciplinary research and museum business.
As part of the event, a memorial hall was opened and an exhibition was presented.
