Zhanarbek Eleubek was recognized as the best cinematographer at the Asia World Film Festival (AWFF) for his work in the film "Bauyryna Salu".
The film "Bauyryna Salu" by Askhat Kuchinchirekov was officially selected for the Academy Award 2025 in the nomination "Best Foreign Language Film" from Kazakhstan.
The project was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Cinema Support Center.
Recall that the premiere of "Bauyryn Salu" took place last year at the San Sebastian Film Festival, where it was well received by critics and the public. The film tells about the Kazakh tradition, according to which the eldest child is handed over to his grandparents for upbringing.
