From December 16 to December 24, 2024, the Boxing Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan among men and women was held in the city of Karaganda. The national team of Akmola region showed good results, winning 3 gold and 3 bronze medals.
Among men, the real winner was world champion Temirtas Zhusupov, who once again confirmed his superiority in the weight category up to 48 kg, becoming the 8-time Champion of Kazakhstan. Timur Kabdeshov, who became the national men's champion for the first time, won gold in the weight class up to 54 kg. Bronze medals were awarded to the team by Chingiz Musinov (60 kg), who made his debut at the senior championship, and Bekzat Makzhan (63.5 kg), for whom this medal became the first at the national level.
In the women's competition, Karina Ibragimova won in the weight category up to 57 kg, becoming the 3-time Champion of Kazakhstan. Valeria Aksenova, who won the bronze medal, brought another medal to the national team.
