The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan has prepared new initiatives to support mature fields supplying oil to the domestic market

The head of the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan Almasadam Satkaliyev made a report during the government hour on Monday in the Majilis of the parliament.
From the report:
"It should be noted that most of the other fields, providing up to 30% of oil production, are in the late stages of development with a decrease in oil production.
For example, there is a significant decrease in oil production in Mangystau, Aktobe and Kyzylorda regions.
At the same time, I would like to note that the last two regions supply the bulk of oil to the domestic market.
At the same time, by 2040, the downward trend in oil production at fields, excluding large ones, will continue.
To solve this issue, measures have been developed to support mature deposits, including tax ones, with the condition of mandatory reinvestment in the development and introduction of new production technologies, which will allow additional production of about 40 million tons by 2045."
