The head of the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan Almasadam Satkaliyev made a report during the government hour on Monday in the Majilis of the parliament.

"Three major fields, which account for 65% of oil production in the Republic, play a significant role in the development of the country in the oil and gas complex.
Gross direct investments in projects amounted to about $185 billion. since the beginning of the development.
According to forecasts, from 2026, annual oil production figures are expected to exceed 100 million tons due to the implementation of large projects.
Tengizchevroil is implementing a future expansion project that will ensure an increase in oil production by 12 million tons per year.
Work on the 5th compressor has been completed at Karachaganak, work is underway to introduce the 6th compressor for the reverse injection of crude gas, which will ensure the maintenance of production shelves at the level of 11-12 million tons/year.
At the same time, a project for the construction of a gas processing plant (hereinafter – GPP) with a capacity of 4 billion is being implemented at the field. m3 of gas. The completion date is the end of 2028.
A gas processing plant with a capacity of 1 billion m3/year is under construction at Kashagan, which assumes an increase in oil production by 1 million tons from 2026.
In addition, it is expected to ensure an increase in oil production by 2 million tons due to the construction of a GPP with a capacity of 2.5 billion m3/year in 2029.
In general, oil production at three large projects will account for 70% of all oil production in the Republic, in which about $17 billion will be invested.
At the same time, $5 billion will be invested in geological exploration of promising subsurface areas by 2030, which will ensure 11 million tons of oil production by 2040.
In total, investments in oil production by 2030 will amount to about $21 billion. in large fields."
