As part of the execution of the order of the Head of State to eliminate the consequences of floods in the Akmola region, a Regional commission was established to consider applications from small and medium-sized businesses for compensation for property losses. From July to December 2024, the commission considered 27 applications for a total amount of 153.3 million tenge. One application was rejected due to the absence of a sole proprietor before the floods. To date, all entrepreneurs whose applications have been approved have received full compensation.
When reviewing the applications, the commission paid special attention to the transparency and legality of the applicants' activities. In the course of the work, cases were identified when entrepreneurs who did not fulfill their tax obligations provided incomplete information about their activities or conducted business without official registration. Such applications were rejected even at the stage of receiving documents.
"It is important to understand that honesty and transparency in business is not just a law, it is the key to long-term success. The state is ready to provide comprehensive support to businesses that ensure transparency of their activities and operate in the legal field," said Deputy Governor of the region Yernar Zharkeshov.
During the meeting, the members of the regional commission were awarded letters of thanks from the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
