The Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues to summarize the results of 2024. It should be noted that systematic measures aimed at the development of personnel in the field of culture and art are carried out on an ongoing basis.
1,637 places have been allocated for the 2024-2025 academic year as part of the state educational order.
In order to organize high-quality admission of students to higher and postgraduate education institutions for the 2024-2025 academic year, some existing groups of educational programs were divided and 12 new groups were formed as a result (instrumental performance, vocal art, traditional musical art, variety art, film and television directing, stage and circus directing, animation directing, cinematography and photo art, media art and digital technology, set design, decorative art, as well as fashion design).
This year, large-scale events and key events in the educational field took place.
On behalf of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Kazakh National University of Arts in Astana was named after Kulyash Bayseitova. This decision was not only a recognition of the great contribution of an outstanding personality to the development of Kazakh culture, but also an important step towards strengthening national identity.
The Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory has solemnly celebrated its 80th anniversary, a landmark event for the entire musical art of the country. For eight decades, the conservatory has become a cultural center that has educated generations of artists who have glorified Kazakhstan on the world stage. Among its graduates are People's Artists of Kazakhstan, honored figures and outstanding musicians.
This year's anniversary was also celebrated by the Kazakh Specialized Music Boarding School for Gifted Children named after Akhmet Zhubanov. The anniversary celebration was marked with a festive concert.
Various competitions and festivals have become an important part of the educational process this year, providing a platform for talented performers and helping to unlock the creative potential of young people.
Special attention was drawn to the XII Republican Contest of young Performers of Kazakhstan, held at the Kulyash Bayseitova Music Boarding School. 187 young talents took part in it, of which 162 became laureates.
Attention to choreographic art was emphasized by the VI International Festival "ORLEU", dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Almaty Choreographic School named after A. Seleznev, which brought together participants from nine countries of the world.
A special place was taken by competitions that promote the support and development of young talents: the Republican Competition among colleges, the International Competition of Creative Youth "Shabyt", the International Competition of Performers named after Akhmet Zhubanov and the XX International Competition "Astana Merey".
The II Republican contest of young pianists "Astana Piano Passion" deserves special attention, which allowed young talents to demonstrate their skills, filling the cultural space of Kazakhstan with new names.
During the year, students of cultural educational institutions have repeatedly won international competitions abroad, including Austria, China, Italy, the USA, the Czech Republic and Russia, thereby glorifying Kazakhstan in the international arena.
