Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan received the President of the Turkic Academy
25.11.2024 18:07:42 2436Astana, November 22, 2024 – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alibek Bakayev received the President of the Turkic Academy Shahin Mustafayev.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current activities of the organization, the events planned for 2025, and exchanged views on priority areas of cooperation.
In addition, the Kazakh side noted the importance of the Academy's work on the adoption of the unified alphabet of the Turkic world, which was approved on September 11 this year in Baku by the relevant commission.
A.Bakayev noted that the work of the Academy should be aimed at deepening cooperation between the Turkic states in the field of science, education and culture, contributing to the strengthening of the common cultural and historical heritage, as well as its recognition throughout the region.
The Turkic Academy was established on May 25, 2010 on the initiative of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The agreement on the establishment of the Academy was signed on August 23, 2012 in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) during the II Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States. The members are Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey. The observer countries are Hungary and Uzbekistan.
