The II regional forum on the protection of children's rights and ensuring their safety was held in Taraz. It was attended by Akim of Zhambyl Yerbol Karashukeyev, regional Prosecutor Nurgalym Abdirov, Commissioner for Children's Rights of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dinara Zakieva (online), as well as school teachers and parents of students.
According to the results of 10 months of 2024, systematic preventive work has made it possible to reduce the level of offenses among minors by 7.7 percent, in relation to them – by 12.8%.
The Komek Stop Bullying project has been implemented in the region since last year. QR codes of the information system are installed in 447 schools and 20 colleges. Since the beginning of the year, 428 messages have been received on the Telegram channel "Komek Stop Bullying Jambyl", as a result, 115 offenses have been suppressed.
The head of the region stressed that despite the measures taken, cases where children become victims of crimes appear again and again. There is a shortage of qualified specialists, juvenile inspectors.
Previously, the school rating system was revised: now the status of schools depends on how timely they identify, speak openly and respond promptly to violations.
But, statistics show that schools are still hiding problems.
- It is necessary to work actively with the police, to carry out explanatory activities. You also need to remember that everything starts with the family. It is not uncommon in modern society for parents to shift responsibility for raising children to teachers. This is our common task. In the era of the active influence of social networks, along with high-quality education, no less close attention should be paid to education," E. Karashukeev added.
In addition, he pointed out the importance of strengthening awareness-raising among schoolchildren, work to identify adolescents with suicidal behavior, and prevention of neglect.
The forum was attended by regional prosecutor Nurgalym Abdirov, Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan Dinara Zakieva, First Deputy akim of the region Nurzhan Kalenderov and Deputy prosecutor of the region Bakhtiyar Mukhamedzhan.
At the end of the forum, the Deputy prosecutor of the region and the Commissioner for Children's Rights of the Zhambyl region signed a memorandum of cooperation.
