Yerlan Bolatovich Kalmakov has been appointed Director of the Department of Educational Work and Additional Education of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Yerlan Bolatovich Kalmakov was born on October 14, 1987 in Kostanay region.
In 2008, he graduated from Kostanay State Pedagogical Institute with a degree in History, in 2010 — Kostanay State University named after A. Baitursynov with a degree in Jurisprudence, in 2024 — the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a degree in Public Administration.
He began his career in 2006-2008 as a correspondent in the editorial office of the newspaper "Kostanai tany".
From 2008 to 2009, he worked as a leading specialist in the Department of Youth and Youth Associations in the Department of Internal Policy of the Akimat of Kostanay region.
From 2009 to 2012 — Chief specialist in the Department of Information Policy and Media Monitoring in the Department of Internal Policy of the Akimat of Kostanay region.
In 2010-2012, he was the head of the Department for Youth Work and interaction with political parties in the Department of Internal Policy of the Akimat of Kostanay region.
In 2012-2016 — Deputy head of the State Institution "Department of Internal Policy of the Akimat of Kostanay region".
In 2016-2023 — Head of the Department of Culture of the Akimat of Kostanay region.
From 2023 to the present, he has held the position of head of the Department of Religious Affairs of the Akimat of Kostanay region.
On November 25, 2024, he was appointed Director of the Department of Educational Work and Additional Education of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
