The Education Infrastructure Support Fund was created on behalf of the Head of State and is replenished with funds seized from corrupt officials. Its activities are aimed at solving the problem of the shortage of student places through the construction and reconstruction of schools and outbuildings.
Since the Foundation was established, the construction of 82 schools for 92 thousand students has been financed in a number of regions and large megacities of the country.
"The state pays special attention to creating comfortable and favorable conditions for our children. As of today, 55 schools with almost 70 thousand places have been commissioned, and 7 more facilities are planned to be commissioned by the end of the year," said Zhaiyk Makhsutov, head of the Department of Infrastructure Development.
So, since the beginning of 2024, 18 new schools have been built. The main share falls on the capital, Mangystau, Almaty and Zhambyl regions, they have all the necessary conditions for comfortable learning. The construction of new schools has solved the problem of shortage of places in 9 educational institutions, including 6 three-shift schools, 2 emergency and 1 dilapidated school.
