TO SAVE THE LIVES OF PATIENTS, THE AIR AMBULANCE SERVICE CARRIED OUT 1874 FLIGHTS

The Republican Air Ambulance Service carried out 1,874 sorties, only 4,894 patients received emergency medical care, of which 1,843 people were transported using airplanes and helicopters.
In addition, 155 face-to-face consultations were conducted by specialized specialists, 117 patients were operated on, 4,836 remote medical services were organized by the situational center of the National Center for Emergency Medicine (NCCEM).
These are the results of the work of the NCCEM for 10 months of this year in the field of medical aviation.
Of the total number of flights performed, 1,302 or almost 70% of departures were performed at the regional level: the most medical aviation departures are in the Abai region (189), Aktobe (167) and Kyzylorda (160) regions.
420 flights were carried out from the capital, including regular civil aviation flights, 141 from Almaty, 11 flights were made to transport Kazakhstani citizens from foreign countries.
The most common reasons for seeking air ambulance assistance are childhood pathologies in 1,451 cases. In second place are patients with complex diagnoses in the form of circulatory disorders - 1167 people, including 776 patients with stroke.
Also, due to sanitation, emergency care was provided to 638 victims of injuries and accidents
and poisoning, including 288 cases related to
with an accident.
Over 700 women with emergency conditions in obstetric practice, 488 newborns with severe pathologies also received timely qualified medical assistance from doctors with the help of medical aviation.
Medical aviation teams provide round-the-clock medical care to patients, including necessary consultations to patients from remote settlements.
The most experienced and highly qualified anesthesiologists, intensive care specialists, neurosurgeons, obstetricians, gynecologists, neonatologists, traumatologists, surgeons are selected as part of the aviation medical team.
