THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH REPORTS ON THE CONDITION OF THE VICTIMS OF THE PLANE CRASH IN AKTAU

Of the 29 injured in the crash of a passenger plane near Aktau airport, 27 were taken to Mangystau Regional Hospital.
The patients were admitted with various injuries, mainly multiple injuries, such as closed craniocerebral trauma, concussion, closed chest injuries, and traumatic shock.
As of the early morning of December 26, 11 patients were in the intensive care unit, 13 in the Department of traumatology, 2 in the Department of neurosurgery, and 1 in the Department of surgery.
According to the condition of the patients: two in extremely serious condition, 11 in serious condition, 14 in moderate severity, 2 patients without complaints, in satisfactory condition.
Eight out of 11 patients are on a ventilator + medication sedation, tonics. Upon admission, all the victims underwent the necessary types of examinations, and after stabilization, they were hospitalized according to their profiles.
The Ministry of Health notes that medical assistance to the victims is provided in full.
Doctors are taking all possible measures to stabilize the condition of serious patients, and the hospital is adequately supplied with medicines and equipment.
As previously reported, an air ambulance plane was sent to Aktau from Astana to provide medical assistance to the victims of the plane crash.
A mobile team of the National Coordination Center for Emergency Medicine of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, consisting of two intensive care physicians, 4 traumatologists, a neurosurgeon and a combat surgeon, arrived on board.
Additional information on the condition of the injured and the progress of their treatment will be provided as the information is updated.
After negotiations with the Russian side and consultations with specialists, 9 Russian patients have been sent from Aktau to Moscow by the Board of Disaster Medicine of the Russian Federation.
