306 people, 101 pieces of equipment, 2 aircraft and 6 dog training teams are involved in the elimination of the consequences. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as employees of the non-governmental fire service, the Disaster Medicine Center, emergency medical teams and local executive bodies, as well as the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan, are involved in the work.
Medical support for emergency rescue operations at the crash site continues by the CMC teams of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Psychologists at the Disaster Medicine Center continue to provide assistance to relatives arriving in Aktau.
Yesterday, as a result of emergency rescue operations, 29 people, including 3 minors, were rescued and hospitalized in medical institutions in Aktau. 38 bodies of the dead were found, which were taken to the center for forensic examination, among them 6 citizens of Kazakhstan and 3 crew members. The bodies of 7 people have been identified. Also yesterday, as a result, a black box was discovered by a search group of rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. A 24-hour duty at the scene was organized.
Currently, there is a Government commission in Aktau to investigate the causes of the accident.
The operational headquarters and hotline numbers in the Astana City Command Center and in the Emergency Department of Mangystau region continue to work: 8-7172-55-96-21, 8-7172-55-96-83, 8-7292-31-90-91. In total, 1,063 calls were received to the hotline, emergency psychological assistance, and informational telephones.
It should be recalled that yesterday, on December 25, when information about an emergency situation on an Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft en route Baku-Grozny was received at 11:00 a.m., the forces and means of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan were immediately sent to the Aktau airport area.
At 11.30 a.m., information was received about a plane crash 3 km from the airport. As a result, the fuselage of the aircraft broke into two transverse parts (the distance between the wreckage is 300 m), followed by a fire in the cockpit area.
At 11.35 a.m., rescuers arrived and began extinguishing the fire, and at 12.05 p.m. they completely eliminated it. The total area of the crash site was 4,200 square meters.m.
There were 67 passengers on board, including 5 crew members.
A total of 492 personnel and 102 pieces of equipment, 2 aircraft and 10 canine crews from the Ministries of Emergency Situations, Internal Affairs, Defense, the National Guard, the non-governmental fire service, the Disaster Medicine Center, ambulance crews and local executive bodies, including an air ambulance from Astana, were involved in emergency response..
