One of the major achievements of this year was that every second participant of the international Olympiad from our country returned with prizes. At the most prestigious International Chemistry Olympiad IChO and the world Robotics Championship "First Global Challenge", Kazakhstani schoolchildren overtook representatives of 190 countries, becoming three-time world champions at two Olympiads. In total, the national team's piggy bank was replenished with 563 medals, of which 77 gold, 201 silver and 285 bronze. 26 Kazakhstani schoolchildren who won prizes at the TOP 7 prestigious Olympiads received cash prizes.
For the second year in a row, the Republican Subject Olympiad is being held for students of rural schools. As a result, the number of rural schoolchildren who won prizes increased almost 10 times, which opened up new opportunities for thousands of children.
For the first time in the history of the country, two teachers were awarded the title of "Kazakstannyn Enbek Yeri" with the award of a special distinction – a Gold Star and the Order of Otan. This is a high assessment, respect and trust shown by the President to the work of our country's teachers. In addition, from the hands of the Head of State, 27 teachers were awarded the title of "Kazakstannyn enbek sirgen ustazy". Another 64 teachers won the status of "Best teacher" according to the results of the republican competition. All 93 teachers were awarded a state prize of 3.9 million tenge.
