The KazProTemir company is building a plant on the territory of the Taraz industrial zone for the remelting of ferrous metal, the production of square blanks, the production of thin-sheet galvanized steel and polymer-coated steel.

The design capacity is 500 thousand tons of steel billets per year.
The project cost is 55.4 billion tenge.
A road is currently being built inside the territory. Wells have been installed and a foundation pit has been dug.

The land works for the construction of the first stage of the project, which will be launched in May 2025, have been completed.
The raw materials for the metallurgical plant will be exclusively domestic.
50 people are involved in the construction work.

The company has made an advance payment for the equipment from China.
