Akim of Zhambyl region Yerbol Karashukeyev met with representatives of the intelligentsia, discussed with them long-term plans for the development of the region, listened to their wishes and suggestions.
Summing up the results of the outgoing year, the head of the region spoke about the social and cultural development of the region, and about plans for 2025. He congratulated the masters of artistic expression on the 90th anniversary of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan.
In order to support the literary community, books by 24 local writers and poets have been released.
- The Head of State, speaking about the importance of developing the literary environment, noted that literature is a great asset that emphasizes the intellectual depth and strength of the spirit of our nation. I would like to emphasize the role of literature in the spiritual and moral education of young people, which helps to increase the intellectual potential of the nation," said the governor of the region.
Erbol Karashukeyev reported that 2025 has been declared the Year of the Book in Zhambyl region as part of the Taraz – Reading City project.
Next year, the collection "Auliye Ata azdary" will be released, dedicated to the restoration of historical place names.
In 2025, at the initiative of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Commonwealth of Independent States Fair will be held in Taraz.
A plan of events to celebrate the anniversaries of famous personalities and writers in 2025 was also discussed.
During the meeting, writer Pernebai Duysenbin, writer, playwright Yelen Alimzhan, poetess Shyryn Mamaserikova, veteran journalist Beket Mominkul, poetesses Umit Bitenova, Gaini Alimbekkyzy, writer Sabyrgali Rysbay made speeches.
Proposals were made to organize historical excursions for students, preserve buildings of the Aulieatin period, which represent historical and architectural heritage, hold events within the framework of the 115th anniversary of the legendary hero, famous military commander and writer Bauyrzhan Momyshuly, popularize the work of local poets and writers.
The governor of the region assured that all proposals will be taken into account, and in the future topical issues of cultural development will be discussed at such meetings.
