Today, the Ministry of Health awarded Emergency Medical Service workers for their dedication and courage in fulfilling their professional duties this year.
Two paramedics were awarded the badge "Densaulyk Aktau isin uzdigi", the minister presented Certificates of Honor to four paramedics for selfless work in the name of saving people's lives.
All six paramedics were awarded the badge "Uzdik kyzmetker" from the Association of Emergency Medical Services of the Republic of Kazakhstan for providing medical care in extreme conditions, in case of fire, flood, and serious accidents.
“Emergency medical care is currently being provided as part of the State compulsory medical care (GOBMP). Your work remains free for citizens and is available around the clock, seven days a week,” Minister of Health Akmaral Alnazarova said in her welcoming speech.
For 11 months of this year, emergency medical teams in Kazakhstan handled over 7.7 million calls, of which 4.9 million were of category 1-3.Medical teams served 2.8 million calls and 2.8 million category 4 calls.
Despite the increased number of calls compared to last year, the key indicator of successful resuscitation increased by 7.1%, reaching 51.7% of all cases.
“Next year, it is planned to purchase 336 units of new sanitary vehicles, which will improve the availability and quality of medical care, as well as reduce the time for the arrival of teams. Also on the agenda is the issue of equipping our employees with video badges, similar to law enforcement agencies. This measure will significantly improve the safety of our paramedics,” the head of the department continued.
During the award ceremony, it was emphasized that emergency medical workers have to do their duty in emergency situations, along with emergency workers, providing medical assistance and evacuating victims. Regardless of the weather and difficult off-road conditions, they serve millions of challenges, saving lives.
“You show courage and dedication on a daily basis, remain faithful to your professional duty, without stopping in the face of difficulties. You are real heroes who do not leave people in trouble, despite all the difficulties.In this regard, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your hard work. You are an important part of our healthcare system, and your work is invaluable to everyone,” the minister concluded.
Two paramedics were awarded the badge "Densaulyk Aktau isin uzdigi" (Ministry of Health) and the badge "Uzdik kyzmetker" (Association of Emergency Medical Services of the Republic of Kazakhstan).:
Bolkenova Gulnaz Boranbaevna, field paramedic of the substation of the Karkaralinsky district of Egindybulak village, Karaganda region, for services in providing medical assistance during a large steppe fire;
Sergey Vasilyevich Volkov, a paramedic of the mobile brigade of the Kostanay regional emergency medical station, Kamystinsky department, rescued a man after an accident by diving into the icy water along the highway, carrying a patient with a pacemaker.
The following medical workers were awarded the honorary diploma "Kurmet" of the Ministry of Health and the badge "Uzdik kyzmetker" (Association of Emergency Medical Services of the Republic of Kazakhstan):
Madina Nurlybekovna Akhmetzhanova, paramedic of the visiting brigade at the Kostanay regional emergency medical station, Arkalyk substation, for saving a woman in labor in a blizzard;
Akzia Abdimukhtarovna Mushkenova, a field paramedic from the village of Karkaralinsky district of Egindybulak, Karaganda region, showed heroism in rescuing residents in the territory of a forest fire in the Karkaralinsky district;
Ermek Kadirbayuly Aimenov, paramedic of the ambulance and emergency medical services of the State State Enterprise for Emergency Medical Services "Regional post of emergency medical care" (Aktobe region), for providing medical assistance to people in flood conditions;
Anel Kairatovna Baymurzina, a paramedic of the mobile brigade of the Kostanay regional emergency medical station, was attacked by relatives of the patient in the performance of her professional duty, and is currently undergoing treatment in a hospital.
