Since the beginning of 2024, the Republican Operational and Rescue squad of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan has carried out 479 operational visits, as a result of which 497 people, including 124 children, were rescued.
The main task of the detachment is to organize and conduct rescue, search and rescue and emergency rescue operations in hard-to-reach areas and facilities of increased complexity, to provide emergency assistance to victims of natural disasters, accidents and disasters, as well as to ensure the constant readiness of units of the detachment for emergency rescue operations both on the territory of the republic and abroad. limits.
Today, the squad consists of 105 people, most of them are athletes, dischargers, instructors in applied sports such as mountaineering, mountain tourism, diving instructors, instructors of the Union of Cynologists of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The detachment has diving, cynological, medical and psychological, duty and dispatch departments, radiation, chemical and biological protection departments. The rescuers of the detachment have additional specialties such as gas and electric welders, slingers, drivers of motor vehicles of all categories, mechanics, crane operators, drivers of small vessels, which makes it possible to maximize their knowledge and skills in emergency situations of various types.
This year, rescuers of the detachment, participating in flood relief in Aktobe and West Kazakhstan regions, rescued 272 people from the emergency zone, including 39 children, and also traveled to the city of Osh in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan to evacuate citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
This year, 7 foreign citizens, including citizens of the Russian Federation and the United Kingdom, were rescued by the detachment during search and rescue operations in the mountains and hard-to-reach areas.
Today, the rescuers of the Republican Operational Rescue Squad are a group of forces capable of performing the most complex emergency and search and rescue operations anywhere in the country and the world.
"Our service is more than just a job. It is a vocation and a willingness to come to the rescue at any moment, despite dangers and difficulties. And we not only save, but also prevent disaster by training and helping people to be prepared for emergencies," said Vladimir Tsoi, head of the Republican Emergency Response Team.
