The annual regional sports forum "Akmola Oblast sport tarlandary" was held in Kokshetau. The event brought together talented athletes, outstanding coaches and all those who strengthen the sporting glory of the Akmola region.
The awards for high achievements in sports were presented by Akim of Akmola region Marat Akhmetzhanov. In his welcoming speech, he noted the importance of the forum, emphasizing that the development of sports and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle are important areas of social policy in the region.
"The Champions Forum allows us not only to summarize sporting achievements, but also to inspire the younger generation to new victories. We must develop mass sports among all age groups of the population, because this is how we improve the health of the nation and foster a strong, purposeful future," said Marat Akhmetzhanov.
Among the honored guests of the Forum are Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Kazakhstan Khalqyna Foundation Lyazzat Chingisbayeva, mixed martial arts fighter Shavkat Rakhmonov and others.
At the event, leading athletes of the region received awards and cash certificates, including Olympic champion David Degtyarev, finalist of the World Short Track Championships Denis Nikisha, silver medalist of the Paralympic Games Yerkin Gabbasov and finalist of the Paralympic Games Amir Muratbekov and others.
The past year has been a success for Akmola athletes: their achievements cover a wide range of disciplines, including boxing, weightlifting, Paralympic sports and other areas. Special attention was paid to the coaches, whose professionalism and dedication played a key role in the preparation of the winners.
The event continued with a concert program.
