One of the main problems of Kokshetau is being solved – providing the regional center with high-quality drinking water. This was stated at a reporting meeting with the population of Kokshetau by akim of the region Marat Akhmetzhanov.
"This issue has been acute for several years. This year, construction and installation work on the construction of water treatment facilities is being completed, filters will be flushed and commissioning with staff training will be carried out. The VOS will be launched in the spring of 2025," emphasized Marat Akhmetzhanov.
An important issue is the deterioration and outdated equipment of sewage treatment plants. The head of the region instructed the mayor of the city to find the optimal solution to this issue, as well as to develop a plan for the phased provision of water to all citizens, since today centralized water supply is available to 98.5% of the population.
The governor of the region also noted that in order to provide high-quality water supply to the village of Stationny, full financing is provided for the completion of construction and reconstruction of networks next year.
