KazRockets proudly announces: registration for the SpaceHack 2024 research hackathon, organized with the support of RocketTech, has been opened for students in grades 7-12. This hackathon is designed to develop innovative ideas for space exploration and provides students in grades 7-12 with the opportunity to present their projects at the international competition NSS Space Settlement Contest in 2025.
About SpaceHack 2024
SpaceHack 2024 is aimed at students in grades 7-12 who develop unique solutions for the creation of permanent space settlements. This event is aimed at developing engineering skills, critical thinking and a creative approach to solving global space problems. Participants will have the opportunity to present Kazakhstan in the international arena by demonstrating their projects.
Format and participation
The hackathon will be held in an online format, but for the convenience of participants, special meeting places for teams to work on projects will be organized in 17 regions of Kazakhstan. These regional hubs, including the Astana hub, provide space for participants to interact and support mentors.
Registration for the hackathon is free and open until December 8, 2024. To apply, you need to go to the KazRockets website and fill out the registration form. The location is limited, so early check-in is recommended.
Gifts and opportunities
The winners of SpaceHack 2024 will receive the opportunity to present their projects at the international competition NSS Space Settlement Contest, which will be held in the United States in 2025, as well as valuable prizes and support for the further development of their ideas. This is a unique opportunity for schoolchildren to contribute to the development of space technologies and innovations.

SpaceHack 2024 will be held with the support of leading companies and educational institutions, including RocketTech. Mentoring support at the hackathon will be provided by the Ministry of digital development, innovation and aerospace industry (MTSRIAP) and Kazakhstan Garysh Sapary (KGS), who will provide valuable advice and expert support to participants in working on projects.
