In the field of Housing and Communal Services for 9 months of this year, the number of operating small and medium-sized businesses amounted to 60.1 thousand units. The share of SMEs in the gross regional product at this stage exceeds 33%, - the press service of the akim of the region Zhetisu reports.
According to the regional department of Entrepreneurship and industrial and innovative development, 7.4 billion tenge has been allocated this year to support small and medium-sized businesses in the region.
- According to the results of 9 months of this year, 369 projects were approved in the field of SMEs. Including 249 projects have been approved through interest rate subsidies, 118 projects have been guaranteed, and 30 projects are planned to be covered by grants of up to 5 million tenge. In total, over 450 jobs will be created. It also took 50.7 million tenge to sum up the engineering infrastructure for 2 projects," said Askhat Karibayev, head of the department of the regional department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial and Innovative Development.
A clear result of the measures taken by the state support are new enterprises, including in Taldykorgan.
Thus, in the regional center, thanks to a state grant of 5 million tenge, won by the results of a competition for innovative projects, the production of fiberglass has been established.
- Thanks to the state support we have received, we have purchased special Chinese equipment. Now we produce new products from broken glass – fiberglass. That is, we recycle it. Thus, our project can be attributed to the field of "green" economy, we contribute to maintaining the ecological balance of the region. During a shift in the workshop, we produce up to 300 kilograms of fiberglass, which is purchased by companies for the manufacture of construction fittings. We accept only thin glass for recycling, for example, sheet window glass. We work using special technology," says entrepreneur Danil Kim.
Another Taldykorgan entrepreneur was also helped by a state grant to turn a hobby into a business. Having purchased special machines, Daulet Kumarkhan established the production of furniture facades.
- The facade is the front part of the furniture, doors, for example. I am a furniture maker myself, and we used to order furniture facades in Almaty, we waited two weeks for each order, the work, accordingly, stood. Now we make everything we need ourselves, both for our own production and for other furniture manufacturers. There are plans to implement a project for the manufacture of interior doors, but this is a matter of the future and state support," the entrepreneur shares.
By the way, in the field of Housing and communal services, the number of people employed in the field of SMEs for 6 months is 104.7 thousand people, or 95.2% compared to the level of 2023. During the specified period, the volume of their products and services amounted to 491.5 billion tenge, and the IFO amounted to 124.1%. Tax revenues to the budget increased 1.3 times compared to the level of 2023 and amounted to 38.3 billion tenge. The share of SMEs in GRP is 33.2%.
