The Academy of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation hosted an international scientific and practical conference on the topic "Current issues of design, development and application of information systems in the field of emergency protection".
The event was attended online by employees of the Malik Gabdullin Academy of Civil Protection, scientists, software developers, as well as experts in the field of emergency protection from different countries.
The conference was aimed at sharing experience and knowledge in the development of modern technologies that help prevent and respond promptly to emergencies.
Speaking, the Deputy head of the Academy for Scientific Work, Lieutenant Colonel of Civil Protection Mirzhan Almenbayev, noted the importance of international cooperation in conditions of increasing frequency and scale of emergency situations.
Also, the senior lecturer of the Department of Protection in Emergency Situations of the Academy, Captain Marlene Bakhtiar, made a presentation on the topic "Criteria for the use of geoinformation systems in the prevention of natural and man-made emergencies." "Emergencies such as natural disasters, man-made accidents, pandemics and terrorist acts pose a serious threat to human life, health and well-being, as well as to the economic development of society. In this regard, it is relevant to develop and apply effective methods and tools for emergency prevention, monitoring and management," the speaker says.
It should be noted that following the results of the event, a collection of materials will be prepared, including reports and suggestions from participants.
