Akim of Akmola region Marat Akhmetzhanov held a meeting with residents of Zerendinsky district, where he discussed key issues of the district's development.
The head of the region focused special attention on the industrial potential of the district. The contribution of the Zerendinsky district to the total industrial production of the region is 24.8%, thanks to the work of the largest gold mining factory of Altyntau Kokshetau JSC. However, without taking into account this enterprise, the share of the district is reduced to 2%, which requires measures to diversify the industry.
In particular, the mayor noted the importance of developing the production of ethyl alcohol, which can be used in industries such as the production of beverages, cosmetics, perfumes and fuels, which will create new opportunities for economic growth.
The district demonstrates high performance in the agro-industrial complex. This year, the yield of grain crops amounted to 21 kg/ha, which is almost 2.3 times higher than last year's result.
"For the further development of the industry, farmers need to actively introduce crop diversification, increase the area of oilseeds and forage crops, as well as expand the introduction of new technologies," said Marat Akhmetzhanov.
In addition, livestock farming is developing in the area, large feedlots and farms are operating, and in the next two years it is planned to introduce a dairy farm for 400 heads.
To increase the investment attractiveness, the head of the region instructed to focus on the development of the food industry, the construction industry, as well as the organization of the production of bricks and ceramic tiles. The initiative to create an industrial zone at the Karagai station was also announced, taking into account the existing infrastructure opportunities.
Tourism has become another key area of discussion. The Zerendinsky resort area, located on the territory of the Kokshetau State National Natural Park, has great potential, but the annual tourist flow still remains at the level of 30 thousand people. The Mayor noted the need to attract investors, implement infrastructure projects and support enterprises that produce products for tourists, including souvenirs and local delicacies.
Marat Akhmetzhanov emphasized the role of state support aimed at improving the lives and incomes of villagers. These are the projects "Auyl Amanaty", preferential financing under the programs "Ken Dala", "With a diploma to the village", etc.
Positive changes have taken place in the healthcare sector. The issues of housing and road construction, housing and communal services, education and others were also touched upon during the meeting.
"The district is self-sufficient, covering its current expenses at the expense of its own income, but dependence on the regional budget still remains. The district's leadership needs to work on increasing the revenue side of the budget, which will solve many social and infrastructure issues," M. Akhmetzhanov summed up.
In conclusion, a number of residents who contributed to the socio–economic development of the district were marked with the badge "Akmola - enbek ozaty" with monetary certificates, the medal "100 years of S.K. Nurmaganbetov", letters of thanks from the akim of the region.
At a personal reception, residents of the district raised housing issues, land issues, road repairs and others.
