On November 27, 2024, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.K.Tokayev, the state visit of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin to the Republic of Kazakhstan took place.
The heads of state, in an atmosphere of full mutual understanding, openness and trust traditionally inherent in Kazakh-Russian relations, held fruitful talks on the entire range of bilateral cooperation, exchanged views on topical international and regional topics, and considered prospects for further deepening bilateral cooperation.
The parties confirm their intention to deepen production cooperation, develop joint mutually beneficial projects in such priority industries as automotive, agricultural machinery, chemical, pharmaceutical, construction and other industries, and facilitate the simplification of internal procedures governing the mutual supply of industrial products on mutually acceptable terms.
In the year of the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union dated May 29, 2014, the Parties confidently state the growing role of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) as an international organization of regional economic integration, expressing their conviction that Eurasian economic integration within the framework of the Treaty meets the national interests of the Parties, creates competitive advantages for all member states and it has enormous potential for development.
The parties support the priority of cooperation to strengthen regional interconnectedness in order to increase bilateral trade and economic cooperation and create favorable conditions for shippers by diversifying the flow of goods through more efficient, reliable, secure and seamless supply chains. As part of these efforts, the idea of combining various transport and logistics projects in the Eurasian space is positively assessed.
The parties note with satisfaction the growing share of agricultural products in the structure of mutual trade turnover. Kazakhstan and Russia have enormous opportunities for the development of agro-industrial complexes and are aware of their significant role in ensuring and strengthening international food security.
Cooperation in the field of agricultural science, transportation of agricultural products, establishment and increase of production volumes of agricultural machinery, careful and coordinated use of transboundary water resources is of paramount importance.
