A regional meeting on the issues of the autumn draft was held. The event was led by Deputy akim of the Abai region Dimitri Garikov. During the meeting, specific proposals were developed aimed at improving the effectiveness of the conscription system.
Ruslan Omarov, the new head of the regional Department of Defense Affairs, was introduced at the meeting. This specialist, who has extensive military service experience, will play an important role in organizing the upcoming draft campaign.
The meeting discussed the shortcomings and achievements of the draft campaign, as well as set specific tasks for district akimats and institutions.
