Students of school No. 17 Ust-Kamenogorsk was visited by a specialized detachment of the Emergency Department of the East Kazakhstan region. Firefighters and rescuers told young visitors about why fires occur, including due to the careless handling of children with fire.
The children were explained safety measures and how to behave correctly in case of a fire, and they were reminded of the phone numbers of emergency services. A memorable tour of the fire station was held for the children and they talked about the profession of a firefighter-rescuer. The children even tried on firefighters' combat clothes and enjoyed sitting in a real fire truck.
The children and teachers thanked the rescuers for the warm welcome and promised to always comply with fire safety rules.
"Such meetings with schoolchildren give results in fire prevention. The younger generation easily remembers and learns the rules that will save them from trouble and will not let them get lost in an emergency situation," said Dauren Agazhaev, head of the Civil Defense Department of the East Kazakhstan Region.
