Today, Akim of North Kazakhstan Region Gauez Nurmukhambetov met with Ambassador of Lithuania to the Republic of Kazakhstan Egidius Navikas. Lithuania is an important trade and economic partner of the region, a significant increase in cooperation is recorded: in the first 9 months of this year, foreign trade turnover increased by 19% and amounted to 1.7 million US dollars.
"We discussed the prospects for expanding the partnership and attracting Lithuanian investors. I am sure that the opening of the honorary Consulate of Lithuania in our region will be a powerful incentive to strengthen business and friendly ties between our countries," the head of the region wrote on social networks.
