From October 28 to 29, 2024, Astana hosted the Republican hand-to-hand combat tournament for the Cup of the Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The sports competition was timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the Anti-Corruption Service. The Minister of Emergency Situations, Major General Genghis Arinov, took part in the awarding ceremony of the athletes.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations team of 8 people took part in the republican championship. As a result, Alibi Pernebek, an employee of the Kazselezashchita State Institution of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, won bronze in the weight category up to 97 kg. Recall that in mid-October, as part of the department's national team, Alibi became the gold medalist of the World hand-to-hand combat championship in Uzbekistan.
"Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations as part of the national team of the departmental sports club "Batyr team" successfully represent the ministry today not only at national, but also at international tournaments. And this is just the beginning," said the head coach of the national team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ilyas Sargazin.
It should be noted that in addition to the national team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, teams from AFM, CDF, Ministry of Internal Affairs, MO, KNB and Antikor participated in the republican tournament.
