Today, as part of a visit to the Ulytau region, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ye.Nysanbayev visited a number of industrial facilities.
The Minister visited the Botanical Garden, Zhezkazgan Botanical Garden is a branch of the RSE "Institute of Botany and Phytointroduction" of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan. One of the problematic issues of the Botanical Garden is the location of the botanical garden in the zone of man-made pressure. The Minister met with the staff of the Botanical Garden, got acquainted with their work, and held a working meeting.
E.Nysanbayev also visited industrial facilities: Kazakhmys Smelting LLP, Zhezkazgan Copper Smelter. After familiarizing himself with the work of enterprises, he considered the issues of connecting AFM, the issues of introducing BAT.
In the regional akimat under the chairmanship of Akim of the region Ulytau D.Rysbekov with the participation of the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan E.Nysanbayev held a meeting with the participation of heads of regional structural divisions, departments and law enforcement agencies. The Minister dwelled in more detail on the Roadmap adopted by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan to improve the environmental situation of the Ulytau region, the importance of implementing each item, and the responsibility of all interested state bodies. During the meeting, issues of solid waste, landfills, and waste recycling were raised. A participant of the meeting, a representative of Taza kala - Zhezkazgan, presented a presentation on garbage collection.
No less interesting were the proposals to create a green belt around Zhezkazgan, following the example of Astana. The Minister offered to assist in attracting the Forestry Research Institute to create a green belt project
Following the meeting, relevant instructions were given to the territorial structural divisions of the Ministry of Ecology, the Akimat of Zhezkazgan on strict compliance with the requirements of the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
