The launch of the new Teez marketplace: About the first successes of the domestic marketplace

A new Kazakhstani Teez marketplace has started operating in Karaganda. Its main advantage is the delivery of the entire order in one day. Order pick-up points have already opened in 24 cities of the country.
Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Shakkaliyev, together with Akim of Karaganda region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev, visited the unified warehouse of the electronic trading platform. They were shown all the logistics, told about the results of the launch and the ambitious plans of the domestic marketplace.
Teez co-founder Linar Khusnullin noted that at the moment the marketplace has 40 order pick-up points, and plans to expand to 127 points. 540 sellers have already been registered, and the product range is 50 thousand items. The company has also created a client application, which was downloaded by 170 thousand people in a short time.
At the start of the project, a single warehouse was located in four buildings with a total area of 25 thousand square meters. m. And by 2030 it is planned to build its own premises on an area of 120 thousand square meters. m. A land plot for construction has already been found in Karaganda. In the future, the company intends to become a leader in online commerce.
Arman Shakkaliyev stressed that e-commerce is developing rapidly, becoming an important driver of global economic growth.
- In recent years, we have seen a sharp increase in e-commerce. In order to develop the ecosystem of Kazakhstan's e-commerce, work is underway to improve the transport and logistics infrastructure, introduce paperless trade and increase digital literacy of the population. In just 10 months, the volume of trade increased by 20% compared to the same period last year. In absolute terms, this amount exceeds 3 trillion tenge. Such projects have a positive impact on the economy and provide wider access to goods for consumers," Arman Shakkaliyev said.
As part of a working trip to the region, Arman Shakkaliyev met with business representatives and residents of the Osakarovsky district. The main topics of the event were the key achievements of the Ministry of Trade and Integration and plans for further development of the trade sector.
One of the key topics of discussion concerned the modernization of the country's trade markets. The Ministry of Trade and Integration is actively working to modernize and digitalize trade markets. The Roadmap provides for the modernization of five trade markets in the Karaganda region, which will be completed in 2025. Among these facilities are the markets "Shygys", "Altyn Arba", "Tulpar", "Kairat" and "Gornyak".
The Minister noted that the Ministry now has the competence to provide state support in the field of domestic trade, which will create an infrastructure that meets the requirements of both buyers and businesses. Currently, the Damu Foundation has formed a pool of 19 projects in the Karaganda region for loans of 7 billion tenge.
When visiting a rural store and a large city supermarket, the minister was interested in placing domestic goods on the shelves. He also went to the department where eggs are sold. I made sure that buyers have a choice, including the product at the price from the manufacturer – 470 tenge for a dozen of category C1.
Arman Shakkaliyev also got acquainted with the work of the Karaganda Nas Corporation. The company is engaged in the production of bread, pasta, eggs and other products, providing food not only to the market of the Karaganda region and the country, but also exporting its products to neighboring countries. The corporation exports pasta to Russia, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, China, Kyrgyzstan and other countries, with a supply volume of 400 to 600 tons per month. Confectionery, flour, eggs, egg powder and cereals are also exported. Currently, the company is focused on the Chinese market and is interested in concluding stable and long-term contracts. Arman Shakkaliyev noted that in December Kazakhstan will open a large pavilion in Urumqi, where it will be possible to present the corporation's products.
When visiting the Global City shopping mall, the Minister of Trade and Integration was shown a warehouse complex for storing goods intended for large wholesalers. There are access roads and a private customs control area.
Following the results of the working trip, the Minister noted that, taking into account the favorable geographical location and developed infrastructure, the Karaganda region has the potential to become not only a key trade and logistics center of Kazakhstan, but also an important hub for the entire Central Asian region.
