Recently, a fire station was opened in the village of Krasnaya Polyana in the Shetsky district of the Karaganda region. The task of the fire station is to extinguish fires and carry out emergency rescue and other urgent work on the territory of the Krasnopolyansky rural district. The fire station consists of six employees who are equipped with all necessary fire-fighting equipment: fire crackers, a water tank for 1000 liters, fire hoses with a barrel, a high-pressure device, a motor pump for pumping water and a fire column. There is a tanker truck in service.
"The functioning of fire stations is an integral part of protecting the population, settlements and residential buildings. I express my gratitude to the akims of the village of Krasnaya Polyana and the Shetsky district for the opening of a modern fire station building," said Nurlan Ospanov, Deputy head of the Fire Extinguishing and Emergency Rescue Service of the Karaganda region.
There are 57 fire stations operating on the territory of the Karaganda region, which serve 109 settlements where more than 53 thousand people live. In 2024, according to the plan for the creation of fire stations for 2024-2025, 6 fire stations were opened in the region. This work is carried out on an annual basis, plans for the phased creation of fire stations are being developed and approved.
To protect settlements where there are no units of the state fire service, akimats create fire stations. The opening of fire stations in rural districts is necessary for timely response and extinguishing possible fires.
It should be noted that 765 fire stations have been created in the republic to date, which protect 2,438 settlements with a population of more than 2.7 million people. And this year, 49 posts have been created across the country.
