In Almaty, over the three years of operation of Sergek hardware and software complexes (APC), the number of accidents and the death rate on the roads have significantly decreased. This was announced during an extraordinary session of the Almaty Maslikhat by the head of the digitalization department Olzhas Zhanabek.
According to him, there are 1,641 Sergek agro-industrial complex operating in the megalopolis today - these are 9152 video cameras. The results can be traced in dynamics – for example, from 2021 to July 2024, the death rate on the roads significantly decreased by 40%, the number of accidents decreased by 17%, and the number of people injured as a result of accidents on the roads - by 30%.
In addition, since the launch of the project to the present, the city budget has received 44.08 billion tenge.
It should be noted that in just 9 months of this year, more than 3 million violations were recorded in Almaty, over 18.6 billion tenge were recovered.
