Today, the deputies of the Maslikhat of Almaty unanimously supported the decision to extend the payment of compensation for the increase in utility tariffs to socially vulnerable categories of the population in the amount of 0.8 MCI until April 1, 2025.
In Almaty, on behalf of the mayor of the city, within the framework of the Tariff in Exchange for Investments program, a monthly social payment in the amount of 0.8 MCI was provided during the year from July 2023. This type of social assistance was received by more than 140 thousand citizens from among the 9 categories of SSN.
"We understand that there is a great need to increase the tariff against the background of high deterioration of the municipal infrastructure, but at the same time, support for socially vulnerable categories of the population is always a priority for the Almaty Akimat," said Baurzhan Zhaubasov, head of the Department of Employment and Social Programs.
Recall that in order to receive social benefits to 9 categories of SSN (veterans of the Great Patriotic War, veterans of military operations on the territory of other states, equated with benefits to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, persons with disabilities of the first and second groups, families with or raising children with disabilities, mothers with many children, awarded with pendants "Altyn alka", "Kumis alka", large families, families of persons who died (died) in the performance of state or public duties, military service, in the preparation or implementation of a flight into outer space, in saving human life, in law enforcement, old-age pensioners, orphans and children left without parental care) must have permanent registration and residence in Almaty, apply to the departments of employment and social programs of the district akimats of the city and provide an identity card for identification.
Those who have already applied for this type of assistance do not need to submit an application, social assistance is automatically extended to them.
