Additional financing in the amount of 8.3 billion tenge will be allocated to Almaty as part of ensuring social stability. Of this amount, 4 billion tenge is intended for the development of the education sector. Part of the funds will be used to complete seismic reinforcement and reconstruction of educational facilities. In particular, the work on seismic reinforcement of the kindergarten on Xi Xinghai Street and the reconstruction of the kindergarten in the MKR. Orbita-3 of the Bostandyk district is ahead of schedule. An additional 1 billion tenge will be allocated to complete the construction of these facilities by July 2025.
It is also planned to allocate funds for competitive procedures for the construction and reconstruction of 9 educational facilities: 3 kindergartens in Alatau and Nauryzbai districts; 5 schools in Alatau, Bostandyk, Medeu and Turksib districts; 1 center for development and creativity in the MKR. It is also planned to equip 26 schools with subject stands and desks.
Thus, additional funds will be used to improve learning conditions and improve the quality of education in the city.
An additional 460 million tenge has also been allocated for the healthcare sector. The bulk of the amount is planned to be used to finance 120 study grants and scholarships for residency students, as well as to pay for tuition and scholarships for 1,206 new admission students at 7 medical colleges.
