To investigate the accident that occurred in the quarry of the Don Mining and Processing Plant, as a result of which 2 people died, a commission is being created by the Department of the State Labor Inspection Committee for the Aktobe region.
The accident in the Mirny quarry of the Molodezhnaya mine of the Don Mining and Processing Plant, a branch of TNK Kazchrome JSC, occurred on October 30, 2024 at approximately 13:14. The driver of the dump truck, gr. S., together with the miner of the mine, gr. Zh., were heading with loaded material to the Mirny quarry. When passing the second turn in the Mirny quarry, the driver of the dump truck, having lost control, ran over the left safety edge of the quarry, as a result of which the dump truck tipped over on its right side. Paramedics who arrived at the scene pronounced the workers dead.
To investigate a fatal accident, the Department of the State Labor Inspection Committee for the Aktobe region is creating a commission that will establish the circumstances and causes of the incident.
