The planned gasification of residential areas continues in the capital. The construction of gas distribution networks planned for 2024 has been completed in the Urker residential area. About 1000 subscribers were able to connect to natural gas. Connecting gas to the Urker residential area will significantly improve the quality of life of local residents, providing them with environmentally friendly and efficient heat supply.
Among the first subscribers are residents of Aktamberdy Zhyrau Street, who were the first to feel the benefits of natural gas.
"We were waiting for the connection to gas, and finally, today is the first day we switch to natural gas. Before that, we heated it with coal. Every 6-12 hours it was necessary to monitor the boiler room, fill the coal. They couldn't leave the house unattended for a long time. Now this issue will no longer bother us. The batteries are very warm at home, the hot water is running normally. We are very glad!" - says the owner of the house Baigarim Khasenov.
The process of gasification of the residential area takes place in stages. In two years, 5,250 subscribers of ZHM Urker, including residents of private houses and residential complexes, will have the opportunity to use natural gas.
"Today's connection of the first subscribers to Urker is, in fact, a historic moment. In 2025-2026, all private houses and residential complexes located here will have access to gas. Gasification will ensure the safety of homes, it is much more environmentally friendly and accessible to people," said Sarsengali Akzholov, Deputy Akim of the Nura district of Astana.
"Gasification in Urker has gained momentum thanks to the initiative of the Head of State "Tariff in exchange for investments". We have laid all engineering networks at our own expense, and we will refund the costs according to the tariff system. Here I would like to note that the gas tariff is 38 tenge per cubic meter. This is an affordable price for residents, which we will keep. We plan to receive the main income from large legal entities," said Zhanibek Mukhambetaly, Director of Qazaq zhylu LLP.
In total, 173 kilometers of gas networks are planned to be built for the gasification of Urker. At the moment, about a third of the planned work has been completed.
This project is an important part of Astana city's strategy to improve infrastructure and create comfortable conditions for the population. The launch of natural gas in the residential area became possible thanks to the coordinated efforts of the Akimat of Astana, the Ministry of Energy, JSC "Qazaq Gaz Aimaq" and LLP "Qazaq Zhylu".
Earlier, the Akimat completed the construction of two gasification lines, which made it possible to connect consumers in the Saryarka districts (railway Koktal-1, Koktal-2, Agro-town and in the old part of the city near Potanin Street) of Almaty (Railway, Industrial, South-East right side, South-East left side, Kuigenzhar, Michurino, International, as well as in two neighborhoods "Akbidai", "Kazakhauyl") Yesil (Vella Village railway station, Courchevel railway station, Family Town, Family Park) and Nura (Budapest railway station, Cosmic City).
The construction of gas supply networks to the Turan, Telman, Yugo-Vostok gas heating stations and to the residential areas Urker, Prigorodny, Family Village, Ondiris, and Kirpichny was also completed.
