Today, superheroes – Hulk, Spider-Man, Batman, Superman - approached the janitors on the promenade area in front of the Atakent business cooperation center during cleaning. They decided to help with the cleaning and urged the townspeople to keep the city clean.
Despite the fact that superheroes are usually engaged in saving the world, it was not shameful for them to pick up brooms and sweep the streets. Spider-Man, for example, invited passers-by to join him and clean the sidewalk.
"I approached the townspeople and offered to help with the cleaning – someone refused to take a broom and sweep, someone willingly agreed. One Kyzylorda resident said that Almaty is very clean and clean-up days are very often held. I also taught the children how to sweep – they were happy to do it. A boy named Egor told me that Almaty is clean because there are a lot of cleaners here," said Spider-Man.
Batman and Superman were helped by a cleaning lady to take a garbage truck to the car. The Hulk also "pushed" a dump truck that got stuck on the road.
"I really liked that the guys and I helped with street cleaning. This is a new experience for me, comparable to the struggle for peace. I really appreciate the janitors' work – they are great fellows, I couldn't do it like that. We have very friendly people who always keep the city clean," Superman said.
The cleaners themselves were at first completely perplexed, mistaking the appearance of superheroes for a prank.
"Today there was a clean-up day in the city, we were cleaning the territory near the Atakent and superheroes came up to us, who decided to help by taking our brooms, and they treated us to hot tea. It is very pleasant that our work is appreciated and given such attention. Let's keep the city clean. We ask the citizens to bring the garbage to the trash can – this would make our work easier. Thanks to the organizers for such a wonderful action," said the cleaner Tatey Kystaubaeva.
Employees of nearby cafes and shops also drew attention to this action – many went outside to take pictures with superheroes.
"I am a resident of Almaty. I saw superheroes cleaning the street today. I would like to express my gratitude to the akimat, which monitors the cleanliness of the city. I want to say that Almaty is getting cleaner and more beautiful every year. I see that the cleaning equipment is being updated, which makes it easier for the janitors to work. An army of cleaners cleans the city every day – it's a great job," said Kanat Dyusenbiyev, head of the security service of the shopping center.
The organizers of the environmental action explained their actions by the desire to draw the attention of residents and guests of Almaty to the issue of cleanliness. Such events contribute to strengthening the responsibility of society towards nature and help make Almaty a comfortable city for everyone.
Recall that as part of the Cleanliness Week, city utilities have completed the preparation of the city for cold and snowfall. For the winter period, 841 units of equipment and 1,400 road workers will be involved in servicing the city. In order to carry out the work effectively, the fleet of the State Enterprise "Almaty Tazalyk" was replenished with 32 modern cars. Sanitary cleaning covers 2,318 streets with a total area of 25.1 million square meters. m with a length of 2,777 km. The cleaning of the road network is carried out by 10 contractors.
