In recent years, the main problem of concern for residents of the district has become the spread of water from the Chu river to the territory of Sozak district, the destruction of the ecological water discharge system from the Tasotkel reservoir to the lower channel of the Chu River.
Earlier, several letters were sent to the relevant places about the negative impact of the water process on the environmental situation.
Today, the Ministry of Water Resources and irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the committee of Water Management and the Shu-Talas Basin inspection held a special meeting to consider ways to solve this problem.
Minister Nurzhan Nurzhigitov, deputy akim of Turkestan region Nurbol Turashbekov, akim of the District Mukhit Turysbekov, chairman of the district maslikhat Ordabek Zhamiyev and deputies of the district, veterans, representatives of the media, as well as specialists in the field of Water Management took part in the meeting.
The first meeting was held on the territory of "Radai", located near the Gulyaev Meadow Valley in Moyinkum district. Here they discussed the environmental significance of the arrival and spread of the Chu riverbed in the district, veterans and specialists of the district expressed their opinion. The state of the 120-kilometer bypass canal, specially dug from the furmanov Aqueduct to the Suzak district, was discussed. In order to check the condition, the meeting continued at the beginning of the Furmanov water junction.
Minister of Water Resources and irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurzhan Nurzhigitov instructed to go along the 120-kilometer bypass canal and draw up the necessary documents for the restoration of its structure. Nurbol Turashbekov noted that this issue is under the personal control of the governor of the region. At the same time, he noted that the work is organized within the framework of the law and is carried out no later than the deadline.
The issue of increasing the amount of water diverted from the SHU River to the Suzak district was also widely discussed. It was agreed to bring the water of the SHU River to the territory of the district by the end of February.
