A Month of fire safety has started in Kazakhstan

On December 1, on behalf of the Minister of Emergency Situations, Major General Genghis Arinov, a Month of fire safety began in the republic. It is aimed at preventing fires and reducing the number of victims and injured, as well as raising awareness of citizens about safety measures at home and at mass events.
On the first day of the Month, the Ministry of Emergency Situations conducted preventive raids, covering more than 1.5 thousand houses in populated areas of the country. Basic fire safety measures in everyday life were explained to residents, and furnaces and electrical systems were checked at their request. As a result, more than two thousand people received consultations.
The month is aimed not only at prevention in the residential sector, but also at ensuring safety during the winter holidays. Special attention will be paid to safety at mass events such as New Year's fairs and concerts, as well as the prevention of emergencies related to pyrotechnics.
Together with the police, bloggers and volunteers, raids will be carried out on markets and places where pyrotechnics are sold, as well as on sites for fireworks and fireworks. Evacuation trainings and briefings on actions in case of fire or other emergencies will be organized for employees of facilities with a massive crowd of people, including shopping malls and concert venues.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan urges citizens to comply with the basic rules of fire safety:
Use only serviceable stoves and electrical appliances;
Do not overheat the furnace and do not overload the power grid;
Regularly clean chimneys from soot;
Check heating systems and electrical appliances for malfunctions;
Do not instruct children to heat stoves;
Keep matches and lighters out of the reach of children.
