Over 34 thousand children study in 222 rural schools in the Karaganda region. In December, a new school in the village of Novostroika in Bukhar-Zhyrau district should be handed over instead of an emergency one. According to the Auyl – El Besigi project, the construction of extensions to three schools is being completed – in the village of Gagarinsky, the villages of Agadyr and Shubarkol. Five comfortable schools are being built for the villagers in the Shetsky and Bukhar-Zhyrau districts.
Gulbakyt Zhunusova, Head of the Department of Education, reported on the development of rural schools at the staff meeting.
– To date, 111 rural schools have been modernized, including major and ongoing repairs. All rural schools are connected to the Internet, 106 times the connection speed has been increased using StarLink satellite technology. Attention is being paid to modern equipment: this year we are acquiring 48 classrooms of a new modification, 42 more are planned for next year," the speaker said.
The three-year renovation plan includes 34 rural schools. In nine of them, work will begin in 2025.
Gulbakyt Zhunusova noted the effectiveness of the support schools. There are now 32 of them in the region, which unite 130 magnetic schools. The project on the development of support schools, implemented jointly with the Kazakhstan Khalkyna Foundation, will be continued.
In addition, such republican projects as "Development of target schools of the country", "Thousand schools", "City-village" help.
In order to increase the interest of schoolchildren in agricultural professions, the project "Step into Agriculture" is being implemented in 65 schools.
And according to the Tutor project, initiated by a private academy, graduates of rural schools are helped to prepare for the UNT.
The head of the department also spoke about the successes of rural students. This year, nine medals were won at the republican Olympiad in general education subjects, three of which were gold.
As for personnel, 51 young teachers came to work this year under the program "With a diploma – to the village!".
Akim of the region Yermaganbet Bulekpayev instructed to pay more attention to attracting young specialists to rural schools.
