Meetings with experts are continuing in schools, colleges and universities of Astana city within the framework of the Esirtkisiz elorda: deni sau urpaq project aimed at preventing drug addiction and drug crime among young people, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
The purpose of the events is to raise awareness among young people about the causes and consequences of addiction, to warn about the risks associated with the use of modern synthetic drugs, as well as to dispel myths associated with the romanticization of banned substances in the media.
At meetings with young people, they discuss the causes and mechanisms of addiction, the legal and social consequences of drug crime, the danger of modern synthetic drugs, as well as the romanticization of drug use in popular media.
The dialogue is conducted with the audience by the psychologist-addictologist Inna Maltseva, who shares her experience in working with addicts and methods of prevention. Danat Baismakov, a specialist in chemical and gambling addiction, talks in detail about the mechanisms of addiction formation. Aliya Kibatkyzy, Senior operative for particularly important Cases of the Department for Combating Drug Crime of the Astana Police Department, reveals aspects of the fight against drug crime and their consequences for young people.
Schoolchildren and students actively participate in the discussions, asking questions about the rehabilitation process of addicts, prevention methods and the work of law enforcement agencies in the fight against drug crime.
In total, more than 80 different meetings were held within the framework of the project, with a total coverage of more than 10,000 people.
