IN TURKESTAN REGION, WORK IS BEING INTENSIFIED TO IMPROVE ENVIRONMENTAL LITERACY WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE TAZA KAZAKHSTAN PROGRAM

Large-scale works are being carried out in the region within the framework of the Taza Kazakhstan program. Since the start of the program, more than 300 thousand residents have participated in clean-up and cleaning activities, and over 1,500 pieces of equipment have been involved. As a result, about 1 million trees were planted and 3,389 tons of garbage were removed. This became known at a staff meeting chaired by Akim of Turkestan region Darkhan Satybaldy.
The governor of the region instructed to systematically continue the work on cleaning, landscaping and landscaping, and also criticized the mayors of districts and cities who did not ensure the proper level of organization in this direction. He also pointed out the need to strengthen awareness-raising among the population to improve their environmental literacy.
The first deputy akim of the region, Zulpikhar Zholdasov, spoke in detail about the events carried out within the framework of the Taza Kazakhstan campaign. According to him, clean-up days are held regularly, in accordance with the approved schedule, covering the territories of districts and cities. Local administrations, public utilities and residents of the region actively participated in the cleaning, making a significant contribution to improving the environmental situation.
To date, 820 applications have been received through the Telegram Bot regional platform, of which 800 have already been completed, 13 are under implementation, and 7 are being tested.
As a result of the work aimed at maintaining cleanliness and order in public places, about 26 thousand protocols were drawn up for violations of the law, and the total amount of fines amounted to 305.7 million tenge. In the future, measures to comply with environmental legislation and strengthen the ecological culture of the population will be systematically continued.
Since April, monitoring has been carried out within the framework of the Taza Kazakhstan program, during which 2,880 landfills were identified. All of them were eliminated. However, garbage continues to accumulate at some "problem points", which is under control.
The rating of akimats of districts and cities on the level of organization of events within the framework of the program was also updated. Turkestan, as well as Baidibek, Zhetysai and Maktaaral districts demonstrated high indicators. The average level was reached in the Shardara and Otyrar districts, as well as in the cities of Arys and Kentau. Low rates were recorded in Sairam, Tolebi, Tulkubas, Sozak, Saryagash, Sauran, Kazygurt, Kelessky and Ordabasinsky districts.
Work on environmental protection and landscaping of the region will continue to ensure environmental sustainability.
In addition, preparations for winter road maintenance in 2024-2025 were discussed at the meeting. 259 units of special equipment, 655 workers, more than 9 thousand cubic meters of sand and 5,800 tons of salt have been prepared to service about 6,400 km of roads. The work on cleaning roads of republican and regional significance, as well as sidewalks from snow, will be under strict control.
