Changsha, China — A delegation from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, headed by Vice Minister Batyrbek Abdyshev, visited the headquarters of the Chinese company Beidou in Changsha. The working trip was organized in order to strengthen bilateral cooperation and exchange experience in the field of emergency prevention.
During the event, representatives of the Beidou company demonstrated the latest achievements in the field of technologies for monitoring natural disasters and preventing emergencies. Special attention was paid to the company's sensors for measuring precipitation, soil moisture and soil movement, and other climatic indicators that can be used to predict natural disasters and respond promptly to them.
"This visit was an important step towards mutual cooperation to improve the monitoring and emergency prevention system. The global positioning system helped us in October this year in eliminating the steppe fire in the Karaganda and Pavlodar regions," said Vice Minister Batyrbek Abdyshev.
In addition, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan visited a number of facilities where monitoring sensors are installed and got acquainted with the possibilities of their use in real conditions. This allowed a deeper understanding of how innovative technologies can improve the efficiency of the service in forecasting and analyzing the development of emergency situations.
An important result of the working visit was the signing of a trilateral framework memorandum on mutual cooperation between the Ministry, Beidou Company and Kazakhstani representatives. The memorandum provides for the exchange of technologies, joint research and the development of new solutions in the field of monitoring and prevention of emergency situations.
Beidou is known worldwide as one of the leaders in the field of satellite technologies and global positioning systems for environmental monitoring, protection from natural disasters and safety.
